Philanthropist Boutique = Best of Both Worlds!

Most of the stores/sales that I feature on here donate a portion of their proceeds to a charity of their choosing. But, imagine a store that donated 100% of proceeds to a nonprofit! Impossible? Not really says the ladies of Philanthropist Boutique, a San Francisco shop, which opened in September. The large open space which houses the boutique carries designers ranging from Vera Wang and Rachel Roy, to Alice + Olivia and Catherine Malandrino

Every season, Philanthropist plans to donate the proceeds to a different nonprofit organization. The Boys and Girls Club of San Francisco will be the recipient of the proceeds from January-March. Each season, the boutique and the nonprofit host a kickoff event and on this night, the owner, Jessica, matches the funds raised with a personal donation!

This store really epitomizes the essence of this blog…Inspired giving can be stylish and chic. There’s no need to sacrifice one for the other! Jessica tells me that the “customers are telling us if they’re going to shop anywhere, it’s going to be Philanthropist because they know their money is going toward a great cause.”

Love it!

    Hi Ladies,
I just learned of your great group. Are you, or do you, interested/have a Chicago Chapter of Philanthropist Boutique? I would love to get involved with all of you. I work for a nonprofit organization, and am passionate about my work, I think this type of group would flourish here. Look forward to hearing from you.
