Are any of you guys Tweeters out there? I joined less than a month ago and am completely obsessed at this point! If you like to read others’ FB status messages, then Twitter is your place! In addition to friends and bloggers, many businesses use the site to spread news/info about their product/services, which is genius in my opinion!

As Twitter continues to grow, the many uses continue to grow. On February 12th, there will be a worldwide Twestival to raise money and awareness for charity: water. The idea is pretty simple…A group of Tweeters use the site to organize an offsite meet-up complete with drinks and entertainment, all the while raising money for a cause.

Charity: water is a non profit organization bringing clean, safe drinking water to people in developing nations by funding sustainable clean water solutions in areas of greatest need. Charity: water reports that unsafe water and lack of basic sanitation cause 80% of all sickness and disease, and kill more people every year than all forms of violence, including war.
