Disclaimer: I think the University of Illinois is the best school in the nation. And, I’m def saying that because I went there

Dad's Day Game with my College Besties! (Fall 2004)
For all of my Illinois alumni, the University is asking students and alum to show our orange and blue pride by volunteering during the weekend of October 2-4. Even if you aren’t on campus, there are plenty of volunteer opps available. All you have to do is visit www.uiaa.org/ihelp and learn about the iHelp initiative and what you can do. All tasks matter…Ranging from donating food to a local food bank to reading to children at a library, all tasks matter. And, most importantly, you’re giving back to your community while flying your flag.
The University always includes a service opportunity for students during Homecoming festivities but this is the first time that alumni across the world have been encouraged to join in as well! I’m very excited for this initiative and will definitely be looking to my peeps to participate. I’m going to touchbase with the Chicago ILLINI President to see if there has been any official activity planned…If so, I will blog/tweet about it! If not, I’ll let you know what I end up doing and maybe you’ll join me. Stay tuned!
Oskee-wow-wow…ILLINOIS!
