Please excuse the dust as a new site is built!
Tonight, I, along with hundreds of other young givers, will get together and Party 4 A Reason in Chicago’s Old Town neighborhood. The event is part fundraiser and part one-year anniversary celebration for our good friends at Give Forward. Earlier this year (or last…LOL) I met Ethan, one half of the Give Forward founding duo, and was amazed at the amount of work, dedication, and committed that he, his partner, Desiree, and the GF team have shown to their mission and various causes. Give Forward is a company that uses the Internet and other avenues to help people raise money for their favorite issues.
Tonight’s party is a prelude to Sunday’s Run 4 A Reason, an event in which 200 young professionals will lace up their sneakers to raise funds for the causes that mean the most to them. If you’re in the Chicago area and want to join tonight’s festivities, visit www.party4areason.com! Tickets are $25 and include a two-hour open bar and appetizers at Old Town Social (455 W. North Ave). Did I mention that Old Town Social isn’t even open to the public yet? So, come enjoy a sneak preview of the place and have fun for charity! The event lasts from 7-10p and supports the following organizations:
Chicago Children’s Charities
Chicago Inner City Outings
Erie Neighborhood House
Midwest Young Artists
PFLAG
Southwest Youth Collaborative
Volunteer Expeditions
Congrats to Ethan, Desiree, and the entire Give Forward team! See you guys tonight!
