Please excuse the dust as a new site is built!
The Body Shop is an advent supporter of various charitable causes. I’ve featured their items which support HIV/AIDS initiative, MTV’s Staying Alive. Did you know that they also have products which support domestic violence organizations?
As a self-diagnosed lip gloss addict, I want you guys to take a look at the gloss to my right. I don’t have this particular color, but I like the glosses from The Body Shop because they aren’t too sticky, but I can still feel something on my lips. Does that make sense to anybody but me?
The Body Shop started the Stop Violence in the Home campaign 10 years ago as a way to raise awareness and funds for domestic violence. For the past six years, the company has partnered with the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence and used products to benefit NCADV’s work.
You can purchase this gloss and other products for a cause by visiting www.thebodyshop-usa.com!

14 April 2009Some might argue with me, but I think the mainstreaming of jeans has single-handedly changed my life. While that might be a slight exaggeration, I love wearing jeans. I will take a great pair of jeans over dress slacks ANYDAY. Dress pants don’t fit me right, and it takes too much effort to get it right! Does anyone else feel that way?
Regardless of your denim POV, I’m sure that we can all agree that discounted anything is a good look these days!
This Friday, 4/17, and Saturday, 4/18, the Designer Jean Company will host its first online fashion happy hour to benefit women’s shelters. From 5:00pm – 6:00pm PST each night, The Designer Jean Company will offer shoppers an additional 25% off the first 100 pairs of designer jeans.
DJC features the latest from designer jeans brands like True Religion, Joes, James, Red Engine, Paper Denim, Antik, Taverniti, J Brand, Chip and Pepper, Elvis and more at prices 40-70% below retail. And for each pair of jeans sold this weekend, The Designer Jean Company will donate directly to the Chrysalis Women’s Shelter of Phoenix.
According to the press release,
By making a significant donation during the launch to local women’s shelters, DJC will be working to help those women most negatively impacted by the current economic times. Denim against domestic abuse.
Well put. Get your shop on by clicking here!

“There was an old lady who lived in her Choos…”
That’s how the story starts in my head, and I’m sure that’s how it starts in some of your heads too! If you’re devoted to your shoe collection and are borderline obsessed, then you should look into joining the “Hello Stiletto” Shoe Club. No, this is not a drill.
The shoe clubs meet all over the country for evenings of mingling, shopping, and, most importantly, FOOTWEAR! This club encourages members to wear their most fabulous shoes to events, and strut down the pink carpet for a chance to win prizes. So, those hot pink T-strap pumps with the feathers? Yep, now you have TWO places to wear them
The best part of Hello Stiletto (other than the name) is that every now and then, the events have a charitable twist. Check out these two upcoming events:

Sarah, the owner of Chic Gems, has to be one of the BUSIEST women that I know! Every time I turn around, she’s hosting an event, planning another, or selecting an organization to support with sales from her fabulous jewelry!
Her partner organization this month is CAASE (Chicago Alliance Against Sexual Exploitation). For the remainder of February, you can support the organization through your Chic Gems online purchase. Through February 28th, Sarah is donating 20% of sales to CAASE. And to reward your generosity, you will receive 10% off your purchase. All you have to do is enter the code “caase” at checkout. Not bad, huh?
