Hey, this is Katelyn Bendix, the AKIRA Diversey stylist who helped you last time you were in when you picked up your Hudsons. I'm glad you were able to get in touch with Erikka and Jon concerning such a beautiful organization. I'd love to get involved with any future events, whether it is to represent AKIRA or just some extra volunteer work! Please add me to your mailing list and keep me updated, Katelynsben@tmail.com. Although it is irrelevant, although helpful, whenever yourself or someone associated with the charity mentions their involvement, I will always validate a 15% discount for them! Keep me updated!

Greetings! I found your site via Twitter. Looking to find out if you'd be interested in an interview and link share. My blog is basically a journal centered around networking/all of the direct and indirect ways to become successful at it....your theme would be complementary. Let me know, thanks!

TFG:

My name is Nathan. I am a student who is enrolled in the Torchlight Program at Florida State University's Film School, and am interning with a marketing company that is representing a documentary called THE ENGLISH SURGEON. It will be showing soon in the Chicago area and I am writing to tell you about it because I believe it something you will want to see.

THE ENGLISH SURGEON tells the story of Dr. Henry Marsh, an English surgeon who travels to the Ukraine once every year to provide free medical consultations and perform brain surgery. He has done this for fifteen years but it never gets easier – every year, he has to perform delicate surgery under adverse conditions and with outdated tools. The specter of failure is never far from his thoughts, yet he finds the determination to press on.

THE ENGLISH SURGEON is inspirational because it shows how one man can overcome enormous odds to reach out and save lives that would otherwise not be saved. It also explores the battle between life and death that doctors face every day, showing a doctor confronting what it means to fail but also showing the essential desire to care for others that gives him the strength to carry on.

In short, THE ENGLISH SURGEON is a film that deserves to be seen by anyone involved in altruistic endeavors. We’ve put a lot of work into this release because we believe it is a great documentary that deserves the widest possible audience. Please find attached a flyer with all the pertinent screening and location information about the film’s local screenings. Feel free to send this to any colleagues, friends or anyone else you think might be interested in the subject matter this documentary covers.

Thanks so much for your time and we hope you consider seeing THE ENGLISH SURGEON.

Hi, I read your blog and wanted to tell you about my charity and an upcoming fundraising event we have planned.

Our organization - Citizen Aid - is a non-profit event-planning agency, that my friends and I founded when we were in college. We plan events/fundraisers for registered non-profits that are in a position to help those in need.

Our next event is Thursday, DEC 11, at Gallery Bar (120 Orchard St in the LES) from 6:30-10p. We're hosting a silent auction, there will be an open Absinthe bar from 7-8p courtesy of our sponsor Versinthe Absinthe and the band, The Girl I Love, will perform. I want to invite you and your fabulous friends to join - and to ask if you had a calendar listing/event link you could post a blurb about us on! If you have any questions, please contact me at info@citizenaid.org.

Thanks!
