One of my goals for 2011 was to seek out more public speaking opportunities in an effort to strengthen my personal brand and continue to bring attention to the work of The Red Pump Project. I’m proud to say that I have been making some headway in this area, and I have two more notches to add to my belt.
Next month, I will be presenting at the National HIV Prevention Conference in Atlanta, on behalf of The Red Pump Project. The presentation, drafted by Luvvie and I, is all about mobilizing online communities in support of HIV awareness and Red Pump’s growing impact.
Then, in October, I am speaking on a panel at Blogalicious 2011. I will be joining Nirasha Jaganath (Mommy Niri) and Joanne Bamberger (Pundit Mom) on a panel titled, “Philanthropy in the Digital Age.”
This will be my first time attending both conferences and I have to say that I am EXTREMELY excited to be speaking. Thanks to all who have extended their well-wishes and more. Anyone have any public speaking tips that they would like to share?
