While reading Inc.com this morning, I stumbled across a post titled “A Powerful (Mission) Statement,” which focused on the powerful and motivating mission statement for Holstee, a Brooklyn-based company. Although the words are meant to describe the company’s motto, it also embodies a group of people and ideals.
The company actually sells their manifesto on a poster, and has been surprised (but not really) at how it has resonated with people. This got me thinking…What would my mission statement be? Not just for The Fabulous Giver, but for my life.
I think that I’m going to spend February figuring it out. Unless yours is written or thought out, it wouldn’t be a bad idea for you to start thinking about this too. You never know who it will inspire!
