Dining Out for Life 2009

On Thursday, April 30th, various restaurants across the country will participate in Dining Out for Life, an event designed to raise money for AIDS organizations. Help Hungry Chicago Families

The Greater Chicago Food Depository is still accepting donations for its holiday food drive. You have until January 3rd to drop off non-perishable items at your local Dominick’s store. The economy has placed a greater strain on family resources and agencies like the GCFD are reporting an increase in need citywide. So, please do your part and pick up some extra food (if you can) and drop it in the bins at Dominick’s! -kb

Tomorrow (12/2), AKIRA (1814 W. Chicago) will host its second philanthropic event of the holiday season. During the Holiday Shopping Extravaganza, 15 percent of purchases will benefit the Lyric Opera House. The evening will feature complimentary cocktails and a silent auction from 6-9pm.  -kb
