Gifts That Give Back, Living & Giving

Happy Holidays, everyone! With two weeks until Christmas, we are deep into gift-giving season. Every year, I come across gifts that give back, but I’ve never compiled an official gift guide. That ends today (obviously). I’ve compiled three guides designed to meet various budget needs.

First up, gifts under $25.

New FEED x DKNY Survival Collection

Shop for A Cause, World Issues

Lauren Bush Lauren

I have a confession to make. I would love to trade lives with Lauren Bush Lauren for at least one week. She’s beautiful, her father-in-law is Ralph Lauren, and she’s a TOP NOTCH fabulous giver. In case you have NO idea who I’m talking about, LBL is one of the founders of FEED, a company that produces some pretty cool bags, accessories and tees to support a plethora of causes and organizations like UNICEF.

Last week, they posted the below image on Instagram and I was all fired up to blog about their FEED India collection. I mean, it’s the perfect sunny day print!

But, before I could start drafting the post, I found out about their new all-black FEED x DKNY Survival Collection. This collection totally makes me think of Batman and Gotham City, which I guess is appropriate given its nod to the Big Apple. LBL told WWD that, “We wanted to do things that women could really get a lot of use out of…and that were really a good hybrid of [Feed and DKNY’s] design aesthetics.”

The collection consisting of rainboots, a tote, a diaper bag and an umbrella; and will provide children with emergency food through the United Nations World Food Programme. Interested in snagging one (or all) of these pieces? They are available at select DKNY stores, Bloomingdale’s and on Net-a-Porter.com.

While definitely chic-meets-utilitarian, the only thing that I would be inclined to snag are the boots. What about you? Do any of these pieces catch your eye?
