Who Inspires You? Here’s My List

KB's Journey

I woke up this morning feeling so inspired and blessed. And, there are many people in my life who are responsible for that. I just wanted to share my list. (NOTE: I’m blogging from my phone so I’ll have to add links later.)

My Mom – Although she’s no longer with us, she embodied what it meant to be beautiful, smart, and a fighter. I will always love her because she taught me how to live by faith.

My Dad – He has always been a strong, no nonsense kind of guy. But, he loves my sister and I like a father should love his daughter. Somehow he balances being a Chief-of-Staff in DC with keeping us on the right path in Chicago.

My Sister – She is a strong sweetheart who has my back. So determined, she’s really stepped up to help drive Red Pump into our destined greatness. I cannot tell you what this means to me. Very proud of her!

David Robertson (@thefaceofhope) – We go back to folding shirts at the Gap nine years ago. Now, watching him fight HIV and educate others, I’m so blessed to know him. He’ll always be my love!

I think that this may become a regular feature on my blog. I know it’s early but who has inspired you today?

    Hi, Karyn.

My first time to be in this blog and I have to say you have to regularly post this. People who inspires us to do what we do, including giving, has been the best givers to us, whether it’s with their time, resources or attention.

As for the people who inspire me, I’ll give my top 3 (Mom and Dad occupies Top 1 and 2).

My Mom and Dad – who has been a testament of humility, graciousness, faith and perseverance. They have given more than they should have and I couldn’t be more appreciative of the blessing they have provided in my life.

My Bestfriend- living in New York means you’ll live a busy life, especially if you’re someone reaching for a breakthrough. My bestfriend has been my constant source of inspiration and guidance as I thread the path of being a successful New Yorker.

Those are the three people in my life who rocks my world and I’m so blessed to have them.

You inspire me too boo… The courage that you have to step out and make things happen for yourself is unique… I’m more than content being under your wing even if you do set the example that I too can fly on my own. 🙂
