"Be kind" lunchbox encouragement card for children

We’re a couple of months into the school year and it feels like we’re finally back in the swing of things. Every day, my first grader gives me the rundown on what he felt good about and things that were more challenging. I know that things are changing daily and I want to keep him encouraged. I’ve written some positive notes on post-it notes and included them in his lunchbox. He loved them! So, I decided to step things up and create a set of colorful lunchbox encouragement cards for him.

Lunchbox notes are an easy way to let children know that we’re thinking about them. They also add a sprinkle of love into their day. For these cards, I wanted a fun design for him and a simple creation process for me.

Enter my good friend, Canva.

Canva is my go-to for a lot of projects, like these chore charts for the boys. After a simple search, I found lots of graphics with encouraging words like “Dream big” or “You got this.” Bingo. Exactly what I was looking for! I ended up choosing 12 designs for our lunchbox cards.

Create your own lunchbox encouragement cards by clicking the image below to download the PDF. Then, print on white cardstock. You can print them at home or also send to a print shop. Whatever works for you!

Once you download both sheets, you’ll immediately have 12 notes ready to share. There’s plenty of space on the back side of the card if you want to spread even more love and write a personal note.
